Before putting the home up for sale, I will review your situation and make sure, a short sale is the solution for your problem. Besides of that, your mortgage needs to qualify for a short sale. This is tricky if more than 1 mortgage or line of credit are involved. Usually 2 loans are not a problem, 3 can be difficult and 4 or more liens are usually a nightmare. But we need to look at numbers before any answer can be given. Sometimes the 1st mortgage can be paid off completely, so we are not even in a short sale situation with that lender which makes it easier for the 2nd or 3rd. Again, we need to look at the situation…
